Pensions is a notoriously technical industry, but it provides fundamental financial support for so many people. This juxtaposition necessitates greater insight into attitudes towards spending and saving and the perception of what a pension scheme does and how a pension fund operates. I wanted to join the R&I sub-committee to commission and collate research that helps our industry find constructive solutions to the problems we encounter.
